Candlelight Vigil - 6 Years Too Many, Friday March 20. Just a quick recap and a few pictures from tonight's event. We had about 40 people show, a lot fewer than this time last year, but we definitely got our message out. There was a ton of traffic and I know that we served as a reminder to a lot of people who would not otherwise have realized that we have been in Iraq for six long years. Lots of honks and positive feedback, with an occasional middle finger thrown in for good measure. Mostly support though. Our group has been meeting every Saturday for almost two years, but we have decided that starting this month we will change our schedule to once a month on 3rd Friday. It was time to shake things up a bit and it just makes sense to coordinate with the other events listed here. I'll be posting more photos at my blog soon.
