A small, but dedicated crew of 13 turned out Friday for March’s Iraq Moratorium event. We received many positive responses, but still get some negative fingers, angry pick-up drivers revving their engines and misguided pleas for us to get jobs and educated. We feel that many do not see the need to stand out in protest against the unjust occupation in Iraq and the inane reasons we need to expand our presence in Afghanistan. President Obama needs us to be present and vocal, to keep reminding him that we are seriously upset and want our country to do the right thing. Many past protestors now feel pacified at a time when our presence is needed the most.
