A 9 a.m. press conference was held at one station which featured fifteen pairs of boots of those dead soldiers from the Bay-Area who would not be riding Bart again. Press (including the Spanish language station) also appeared at a key noon event that IMC planned.
Another station was held down by Iraq Veterans Against the War. In an evaluation meeting the following week, organizers agreed transit work was a way to reach thousands. And, that we would indeed do this a few times (or more) a year.
