Nine brave persons were out on the corner of 51x70 last Saturday, March 21, calling for peace and the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan and Iraq. Our vigils have been going on now since 2002. The response for passing cars last Saturday was extraordinarily favorable with thumps up, honks, waves, smiles, and the like. With the exception that many of our group seems to have cooled on demonstration, the prospects for agreement on peace in the local community are definitely increasing. We plan to be out again on the corner of 51x70, at 10:50 AM until Noon on April 18, the third Saturday of the month, which will be our regular vigil dates until further notice.
