June 19th being the summer solstice weekend, as well as the Iraq Moratorium vigil, we will gather to remember the effects of war on Mother Earth herself as well as on her people. War takes a tremendous toll on the environment, from manufacture to the use of armaments that contaminate soil and water for decades to come. In particular, we call attention to the use of depleted uranium-tipped weapons that are causing horrible birth defects. Bring a sign or borrow ours. Everyone welcome!
